Translation of the names of PC programs into Russian. Program for Russification of programs. How to automatically translate an Android application into the desired language

In this article we will touch upon interesting topic– how to Russify software. As a rule, this activity should be carried out by software developers themselves, and everyone knows this. This is especially true for popular software, such as operating Windows systems and other programs, like well-known browsers. If such programs did not have a Russian-language interface, then you can find a replacement without any problems.

What to do with programs that are aimed at a narrow specialty? Some of them may be paid and not have Russian language. If you do not know the language into which the program is translated, then working with it may be difficult.

In this article I will try to show ways in which you can Russify any software.

The first solution is to use Russifiers

If there is no version of the program in the language you need, you can find a special localizer on the Internet. The disadvantages of this method are the following:

  • Absence of the Russifier itself;
  • Translation is not carried out by developers, but by other people who do not care about the quality of translation;
  • There is no clear sequence of the program Russification procedure (this is less common);
  • Often, instead of a cracker, you can download a virus.

Of course, now “cunning” scammers are looking for other ways to distribute their viral creations, because many resources for downloading cracks that have a viral component are blocked by search engines. They can promote their programs by low frequency queries to a specific program, or use other distribution methods.

It is not recommended to send messages to any number to download the crack. We immediately scan the downloaded files with an antivirus or special programs. You can check through online services, where the check is carried out by several dozen antiviruses.

Program for Russification of programs in a foreign language

There are many programs that can translate the interface of another program into the language you need. Many of them are distributed on a paid basis and their price is far from cheap, for example, Radialix or SDL Passolo.

Even with such programs in hand, you may encounter certain difficulties, for example, the program is in the wrong language, difficulties during operation, you often need to translate individual words and phrases by hand.

As free program you can use Resource Hacker, which can translate, although not the entire interface, but menu items easily. You just have to do this manually, having first translated the foreign words.

To avoid manual translation of programs, you can use tools that can translate text from the monitor screen. A similar utility for translating everything from the screen is QTranslate. She uses Google Translate and others as a translator.

Here is the download link. By the way, the program is free. But I’ll tell you how to work with it in the next article.

Other methods for solving problems with Russification

There is no way you can perfectly Russify a product. Maybe you don't want to bother with the methods I listed above. Then you can contact the creators of the program directly and ask them to Russify it. Typically, developers create and update the interface based on feedback and suggestions from users, so it is in their best interest to follow your request. Thus, the program will be adapted not only for you, but also for other users who would like the same.

How to translate the program into Russian?

Master's answer:

Unfortunately, most really worthwhile programs for PC written in English language. And, despite the fact that there are wonderful programs in Russian, the problem of Russification remains relevant.

If the interface of the program you need is in English, it can be Russified. You need to go online and enter the name necessary programs to the search bar. Surely, you are not the only one who has encountered such a problem, and the more like-minded people there are, the more likely it is to find the necessary localization. There is even a special service “Mail Answers”, where you can find many similar questions.

Go from the main menu to the About item, there you can find out the program version. Then download a crack that is strictly suitable for your version; others simply won’t be of any use. The versions must correspond exactly to each other, because... any slightest discrepancy will cause the utility to fail. The cracker comes with instructions that will help you easily complete the installation. There are two installation methods: first, when necessary files copied to the internal folders of the program and the second, when specifying the location of the main program. It is worth noting that some crackers may carry viruses, so when downloading it is recommended to carefully check them with an antivirus, or better yet, more than once. Then we restart the program. If, when starting the program, the system generates an error, or the letter part is displayed incorrectly, it follows that the localizer was not selected correctly. Try repeating all the above steps with a different version. If there is no local translation for your program, don’t worry, you can always use an online translator. Perhaps the translator from google will surprise and delight you with its speed.

Today we will start the first lesson, where we will install this free analogue Photoshop on computer. First you need to download artweaver for free from the link provided at the end of this lesson. Don't be afraid if you feel like you can't install the program yourself. Following our instructions, everything should go perfectly, and if you have any questions, ask either in the comments or through the contact form, indicating what you want to ask a question about.

So, after you download the archive, you need to unpack it; for those who do not know how to use archivers, a lesson on how to unzip a zip file will be useful.

After you unzip the archive, you will see that there are two files in the folder - Artweaver.exe (the program itself) and Artweaver_RU.lng (its crack).

Program installation

Now you can start installation. To do this, stand on installation file Artweaver.exe, on which you need to double-click LMB. Next, a small language selection window appears, in which you simply click “OK”, because The default package does not include Russian.

In the following windows, click the “next” button, after which you need to check the “I accept the agreement” field, which means you agree to comply with the license rules, and click “next” again.

After this, the installation wizard will ask you about the installation location. By default, the program will be installed on your disk where you have other programs, that is, along the C drive, in the Program Files folder and the Artweaver Free 3.0 subfolder. If you specify a path other than C:\Program Files\Artweaver Free 3.0– be sure to write it down on a piece of paper, this information will be useful for translating the program into Russian. So, without changing the installation location and other parameters, at all subsequent stages of installation, click “next” until the message “install” button appears at the top of the form, click it (1p LMB).

The program will begin to install on your computer. By the way, I would like to note that this free analogue of Photoshop is very lightweight and does not require resources, so it is perfect even for low-power laptops.

The last stage of installation is a message that the installation is complete, and in this form you need to uncheck the box and click on the “finish” button.

After this, you will see a shortcut to this wonderful analogue of Photoshop on your desktop.

Translation of the program into Russian

Now all you have to do is translate the program into Russian. To do this, you will need the second file from the downloaded archive Artweaver_RU.lng. This file must be placed in the program folder. To do this, it was necessary to write down where the program was installed.

Copy the file Artweaver_RU.lng, to do this, stand on it and click 1 time right click mouse, and then select the “copy” line. Next, follow the path C:\Program Files\Artweaver Free 3.0 (open drive C, there is the Program Files folder, and then the Artweaver Free 3.0 folder.). The last folder will contain many files and folders. We are interested in the Languages folder, so we open it.

Then we simply go to any empty space in this folder, right-click the mouse, and then select “paste”. The Artweaver_RU.lng file should appear in your Languages folder. This completed the first and most difficult stage of translation.

Now open the program through the shortcut that you have on your desktop. For those who have forgotten, read the article on our website for retirees.

After the program opens, you may see small window in the middle, where in English you are asked to buy a paid version. To prevent this window from appearing in the future, put a small checkmark at the bottom of the window and click “close”

Everyone, congratulations. Your torment is over, and now you can study Artweaver lessons. Don't worry if, after all your efforts, you don't see the Russian language right away. Just close the program and open it again.

This concludes the first lesson, the next artweaver lessons will be published in the near future. With respect to you, a site for pensioners It doesn’t matter to us when we are old. (jcomments on)

Today, a range of applications for devices with operating system Android on board, offered in the Google online store Play Store is extensive enough that without any problems we could find here what we need this moment need to.

However, many applications, and especially new ones, that appear here still cannot boast of having translations into all the major languages of the world, not to mention less common languages. Today I want to tell you about in a simple way fix this situation.

We will talk about how to translate any Android application in almost any language in the world automatic mode, without user intervention.

Of course, to do this you will need to pre-prepare your device, which ultimately must meet the following requirements:

Availability of Root access

Xposed Framework installed

Operating system: Android 5.0 and above

Activated application installation mode from unknown sources.

Methods getting root you will find on forums dedicated to your smartphone or tablet model. You can read about what the Xposed Framework is and how to install it on a smartphone or tablet in this material, and you can activate the installation mode from unknown sources in the main system settings menu of your device, in the “Security” section.

How to automatically translate an Android application into the desired language

1. Launch Xposed Installer, and in its main menu, which slides out from under the left edge of the display, select “Search for modules”

2 . In the window that opens, click on the button in the form of a magnifying glass on the application toolbar and type Alltrans in the input field. Click on the search result and select the latest (or any other) version of the module.

3. After installing the module, you will need to activate it as usual. You can do this in the “installed” menu section of the Xposed Installer application by checking the box next to the module you just downloaded. To complete the installation, reboot your device.

4. After rebooting, you will see that the icon has appeared in the application tray of your smartphone or tablet. AllTrans. Launch it.

The main window of the module will open the following type with three tabs:

On the first one, called “Translation Applications,” you need to select from the list of applications installed on your device those that require translation.

On the second tab “Global parameters” you will find a list of module settings. Here you need to make sure that the module is enabled (the topmost switch in the list), set the language (or languages) from which you need to translate applications (the “Translation from language” item), and the language into which you want to translate (the “Translation to language” item). , and select a translation system.

5 . To select a translation system, set the switch to the “On” position opposite the “Use Yandex instead of Microsoft” item. If you wish, you can also use the Microsoft translator, but you will need to show your credit card number, which, however, will not require payment.

6 . Enter your Yandex subscription key

In order to receive a Yandex subscription key, go to this address and enter your Yandex credentials (register if you do not have them).

In the window that opens, check the box next to "I have read the User Agreement and agree to the terms of service." and click on the "Get API Key" button:

Copy the text of the key from the Yandex website and paste it into the input field that appears when you click on the AllTrans settings menu item called “Yandex subscription key”.

That's it, you've set up AllTrans, and congratulations: now your smartphone or tablet will automatically translate applications from the language you set in the AllTrans settings to the language you need.

Of course, the quality of the translation will be far from what a human translator can offer us today, but still this is much better than understanding an application made in a completely unfamiliar language.

(editor's choice for localizing "resources")
To make changes to the program, Russify it, localize it (as you wish), first of all you need to know which program resource needs to be edited in order to select an editor with which you can get inside the file and “pick” it. There are many of them, but I warned you that there is only “mine” on the site.
It seemed to me that these are the easiest to understand and at the same time functional:
(I won’t go into their description, because they are all Russified and are as simple to use as a RAKE :-) PASSOLO v4.0.004 rus 3.9 MB (my build)
  • Not without pride - the installer is from me PERSONALLY. From what we managed to “dig up” on the net. (Gee-s-s...)

  • PASSOLO v5.0.005 Russian Edition 9.93 MB (my build)
New release of this unique "russifier"! Oh, and they screwed up this one new version"Hans-burghers" :-)
  • Again - the fruit of my primitive searches. Full Russian version + Russian Help (based on the Russifier by I. Botvin)
Feel free to forget about my installer v4.0.004rus!!!
    - For thought: official “demo version” 24.3 MB + 4.4 MB Russifier I. Botvin (a huge THANK YOU to him for the Russification of the program and even the Help). Well, I don’t even mention “for registration” against the backdrop of these 30 Meters.

  • - So decide for yourself whether to download or not.
  • The program is designed for localization (Russification) of programs (more precisely, their resources) AUTOMATICALLY, using ready-made dictionaries (glossaries)...
...stop... stop... - this does not mean at all that any “teapot” will install it and begin to Russify everything.
    - Ready-made dictionaries (specifically for PASSOLO) were created by the efforts of the “luminary” NyBumBum, based on Microsoft dictionaries (lowest bow to both).
NB! "dummies"- with their help you can translate only “commonly accepted” formulations: “Open-Close-Copy-Delete” and so on. Translation of a specific program will require a “personal” dictionary from the translation old version, a similar program, or you will have to translate everything by hand, and only then the translated can be saved into your own dictionary. Got it?

Peace of mind... peace of mind... (for those users who are already familiar with the program).
    - I haven’t talked about its advantages yet!
THERE ARE A LOT OF ADVANTAGES!!!, even if you are a “newbie” and have taken up translation for the first time:
    - (once) there is no need to waste time “pushing” phrases that are already clear to everyone, such as “Open-Close-Copy-Paste” and so on.
    - (two) many programmers, not distinguished by originality, use standard sentences from the “bilin” dictionary to describe errors (therefore, a previously incomprehensible entry in 3-4 lines) will be translated with ONE click of the “auto-translate” button.
    - (three) the program does not just open a resource for translation, but creates a LIST of strings that are possible for translation (here “dummies” usually clap their hands), and everyone else understands why - the possibility of “cutting things askew” - removing or moving lines - is COMPLETELY excluded.
    - (chepyri) if you are already “overwhelmed” by one of the programs and want to chase its updates, that is, you can make a separate glossary (dictionary) to simplify the translation of new versions - select a line - click "auto-translate" and the line will be translated “in the image and likeness” stored in your dictionary from previous versions.
    - (five) there are Russian and English spell checkers - to check spelling and correctness of translation. Well, when the knowledge of the Russian language of the author of the translation leaves much to be desired... mmm, much better, and in the word “more” there are 4 ashypki (“ischo” ;-)
...Tired... If you are really interested, download and get to know this masterpiece further yourself.

Synthesizer for Russification v2.0 rus 1.3 MB
Universal Resource Translator for Russification of programs.

  • A program for automatic translation, and you yourself “teach” it new words and phrases to simplify your work in the future.
    - You extract a resource (*.rc) for translation from the program using an editor (for example, ResHacker), the program translates it using a prepared dictionary, after which, using the same editor, you replace the source of the resource with the translated one in the required file.
    - After her work, you MUST check the quality of the translation (she can translate commands).
  • Stage No. 2

    (localization itself, editing “resources”)
Then it’s a matter of “technique”, or rather the availability of free time, perseverance and diligence - you open it as an editor required file, find a translation resource and go ahead - change the hated English letters to the “familiar Cyrillic alphabet”.
  • Note "dummies"! It is naturally impossible to translate everything that comes to hand, but only dialog boxes, menu bookmarks and “hydes” - pop-up tips. First of all, from an excess of enthusiasm, it happens that commands are translated :-) Then such a localizer is worthless - the program does not work at all or only partially.

  • I really hope that you are not a “teapot boy” and using Autotranslators like PROMT, Google, Socrates, etc., you will not stupidly change the contents of the lines to that abracadabra, an obscure, and often meaningless set of phrases that comes from the pen of Autotranslators.
Respect yourself - try to formulate the text meaningfully and intelligibly!

So, the final one is Stage No. 3

    (creation of a crack patch)
A patch is created that will “update”, that is, make changes in the English version of the program when reinstalled, or on another user’s computer.   This procedure, unlike the Russification process itself, requires only a few minutes. Specify a folder with “old-source” files and “new-Russian” ones, give a name to the patch being made, press the “OK” button and CE... The patcher itself will check the source with the modified one and produce a ready-made packaged file that can independently make changes in English-language versions.

Patch Wise free v3.29 rus 2.5 MB
Perhaps one of the free ones, or rather the “only” BEST, in this category.
    Everything is elementary simple:

  • we determine our settings, graphics and other “beauties”
  • indicate the “old” and “new” folders of the program being Russified
  • click "OK"...
  • We're drinking coffee...
  • The crack patch is ready!!!

  • Note!- Unlike Restaurateur, this patcher is much more profitable in terms of the degree of compression of the produced file, and plus, you can change the contents not in one file, but in several at once, and in different folders- let’s say patch an executable file in the root folder, a couple of dlls from child folders, add a Russian certificate, and finally attach a new “bonus” file, or any other “gag”.

These patchers seemed less attractive to me:

Clickteam Patch Maker v1.2g rus 500 Kb
The essence is similar - comparing the original and modified directories and creating a single file.
    - Can process directories and subdirectories, i.e. is able to make changes to various files
    - Can make entries and make changes to the Register
    - Can make changes to common *.dlls - if the library is active at the time of change, then the changes will be made when rebooting

Note!- Does not back up, i.e. does not create a “rollback” of changed files and directories!

Visual Patch Express v1.0.0 rus 1.5 MB (I DO NOT RECOMMEND)
According to the Authors' description, it looks like a patcher...
    - Maybe I misunderstood something, I didn’t have time, I couldn’t understand, although I tried different variants and every time, for some reason, the resulting file turned out to be 2 times larger than the source!?

    - He spat, calmed down, poured it here and didn’t use it anymore.

    Translators

Programs for automatic translation of text using ready-made dictionaries
They are divided into autonomous programs (which have their own built-in template dictionaries) and programs that require an Internet connection to work, as they use online glossaries for translation. The most popular, one might say the “founding monster” is of course PROMT. I’m familiar with it, it’s kept for all sorts of reasons, BUT I don’t like it and “I’ll say it here” only about my favorites:

Socrates Personal v4.1 rus 5.8 MB
English-Russian and Russian-English Translator from one language to another.

  • Today this is an old pioneer, from the now large army of Translators, with its own autonomous dictionaries, working flawlessly since the distant 2000s.
  • Personally, I still like it best of all that I had to use - PROMT Prof, Pragma, Word Magic Prof, Abby Lingvo, etc.
    - Automatic translation in both directions of both individual words and the entire selected text, using built-in dictionaries.
    - Select the desired text, copy it, click on the program icon sitting in the tray - a panel opens with two windows, in one of which the text from the buffer has already been inserted, and in the second a ready-made translation into another language.
