  • UniqueKey - a unique identifier for the product in the management system; do not fill out this column yourself.

Other product fields can be selected arbitrarily from the total number of fields. (you can add new fields for your products or other objects.)

You can specify column names to add or change values:

  • info:url- field for URL substring;
  • info:name- field for Name of object in the system;
  • info:sort- a field for sorting objects within a section;
  • info:access- field for specifying access rights (for example: 7733);
  • info:template- field for Output template, output template indexes can be viewed;
  • info:delete- field for deleting a product, create a column and fill the product cell with arbitrary data to delete it throughout the import.

Once the table is complete, export it to CSV format. And save the file, for example on your desktop.

When importing from CSV you can specify:

  • Product section (any level), if the section does not exist, it will be created;
  • Product parameters;
  • Path to product images (images must be in the same zip archive as the CSV file);
  • Specifications;
  • Discounts;
  • Dimensions.

Requirements and capabilities:

  • The names of the goods must be different:
    • If a product with the specified name is already in the section, it will be skipped;
    • If the import file contains products with the same names in one section, the products will be assigned the indexes “Name (X)”, where (X) is a serial number starting from 1 (unit).
  • The CSV file in the archive must be one and located in the root of the archive;
  • Images for uploading must be packaged together with the CSV file, except for images with a URL;
  • The number of sections and products in CSV is no more than 5000;
  • The CSV format does not support line transitions, so data or text within a cell using a line transition will be interpreted incorrectly;
  • The CSV format uses semicolons ";" as delimiters, making it impossible to use this character in text;
  • The total weight of the archive should not exceed 64 MB for Economy and Standard tariffs, 128 MB for Luxury and Maximum tariffs. During free use, there is a 3MB limit.

Advice: Create multiple products by filling in all fields and use the CSV export feature. Open the file in the editor and you will find out what data you need to use in the table cells.

Import of goods

Go to your content management system and click right click mouse over the desired section, as if you were going to create one new product, then “Create” → “Import”. A window will appear asking you to enter a file and file type. Click "Add" and select the "CVS" file type. Click "Import".

This file is in CSV format. Open it with a spreadsheet program (Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, or OpenOffice Calc). Column UniqueKey- contains a unique identifier of the product in the management system. You can change all product values, except this values ​​in the column cells UniqueKey .

If you have not edited and do not intend to edit the values ​​of a column, you can remove it from the import file. This will speed up file loading and import time, because... unnecessary data will not be processed.

For example, if you wanted to change only price of goods, only columns should be left in the import file price And UniqueKey, the remaining columns need to be deleted (together with the column header, i.e. delete the entire column).

Attention! When synchronizing products, you can specify the section where the product will be placed. In this case, import the file into the folder for which you specified the placement of the product.

CSV files are designed to store tabular data in regular format. text files. To open such a file you do not need special program To work with tables, any simple text editor is sufficient. This format is often used by various kinds of scripts to store small amounts of data.

Instructions

  • Use a simple text editor (such as Notepad) to manually create a CSV file. If you need a file that does not contain any data, then simply save an empty document with a csv extension - for example, data.csv.
  • Separate the contents of adjacent table columns with a comma if you need to place some tabular data in the file. The very name of this format (CSV - Comma Separated Values) is translated from English as “comma separated values”. However, it is more convenient and therefore more commonly used to separate values ​​with semicolons. This is due to the fact that in most non-English-speaking countries, it is common to use a comma as a separator between the integer and fractional parts of real numbers.
  • Place only one row of tabular data per row of the CSV file. That is, the line ending character is the row separator of the table contained in such a file.
  • Use spreadsheet editor, if you don't want to create the CSV file yourself. Most spreadsheet programs can read and save data in this format. For example, you can use the office Microsoft application Excel 2007: Once you have created (or opened) a table in Excel that you want to save as a CSV file, click the large round Office button in the upper left corner of the editor window. In the menu that opens, go to the “Save As” section and select the bottom item - “Other formats”. This menu item is assigned " hotkey"F12 - you can use it.

However, most programs freely interpret the CSV standard and allow the use of other characters as a delimiter. Values ​​containing reserved characters (comma, semicolon, new line) are surrounded by double quotes ("); if there are quotes in the value, they are represented in the file as two quotes in a row.     Despite the presence of RFC, today CSV is usually understood as a set of values ​​separated by any delimiters, in any encoding with any line endings. This makes it much more difficult to transfer data from one program to another, despite the ease of implementing CSV support.
