After that, we'll introduce you to some WordPress carousel plugins you can use and talk more about Master Slider itself. In the meantime, install Master Slider to get started!

Step 1: Set Up Your WordPress Slider and Add the Media You Want to Use

Once you activate the plugin Master Slider, you will find new tab Master Slider on your panel. There you will see a list of all your WordPress sliders (which should be empty right now). Go ahead and press the button Create a new slider:

The plugin will ask you what type of slider you want to install. You can choose from eight options, including horizontal sliders with and without thumbnails:

In this tutorial, we'll set up a simple custom slider so you can see how the whole process works. So select this option and click the button CREATE.

The plugin will then send you to the tab SLIDES your new element. Here you can add all the images you want to include in your slider using the WordPress Media Uploader or select existing images from your library:

After adding several photos, the tab SLIDES should look something like this:

Your images are ready to go. Keep this tab open and move on to the next step.

Step 2: Customize your WordPress Slider

You can then customize the way your WordPress slider works. To do this, go to the section Background in the tab SLIDES. For each of your slides, you can customize a unique background using your chosen image and any colors and text you like:

Right now we'll set up a simple WordPress slider using all the images we've uploaded. If you scroll down, you will see how each image will appear in the slider. There is also a button Preview, which you can select to see how your WordPress slider is shaped:

When you are done here you need to go to the tab SLIDER CONTROLS. There you can choose what type of controls your slider will use. The default setting is called Arrows, and you can probably guess what they look like:

Lastly, you can also play with skins by scrolling down to the section Appearance. These are slider templates that allow you to change its appearance.

We've shown the default skin in our examples so far, but there are other great options you can play with. You can even get into WordPress sliders if you like things like this:

Once you've finished customizing your WordPress slider style, click on the button Save changes and go to the last step.

Step 3: Place the new slider where you want it to appear

Now your WordPress slider is ready, all that's left to do is place it on your website. The process is simple as the Master Slider plugin generates a shortcode for each slider you create.

To find these shortcodes, go to the tab Master Slider in the toolbar and look under the column Shortcode:

Copy the shortcode for the slider you want to place on your site, and then open the editor of the page or post where you want to place it. Simply paste the shortcode where you want your WordPress slider to appear, like in the example below:

If you check your page, it should look something like this in the interface:

Greetings, friends! I didn’t write for a long time, because I had my own reasons. But I’m back and today I want to tell you about how to make a slideshow on your blog, as well as consider the most popular and best plugins with the help of which you can create fascinating, beautiful and attractive slideshows based on WordPress.

But before moving on to the topic of the article, I’ll tell you a little about what happened that made me disappear for a whole week. And the whole point is that I changed my job and, in connection with this, I was on a business trip for a whole week, where it was not only that there was no time to do anything on the Internet, but even looking at the network itself was simply unrealistic. Despite this, I liked everything - new knowledge, new opportunities, new acquaintances and much more! Now I’m back and with you again, my dear readers!

Well, we’ve gone through the introductory part, now let’s return to the article itself, in which I would briefly like to introduce to your attention the main plugins for creating a high-quality slideshow on your blog. To do this, let's look at the two most rated plugins.

There are many options for viewing slideshows on WordPress. The user can display photos vertically or display the gallery in a grid. It is also possible to create an impressive wordpress slideshow. Placing it on your personal website is a fairly simple process. The first such plugin for creating slideshows is Easing Slider Lite.

Benefits of the plugin EasingSliderLite

Many users highlight the Easing Slider Lite plugin. Its difference from hundreds of other plugins is its simplicity and convenience. The user does not have to search for the necessary functions in the template or make many edits. All you need to do is install this plugin. The only downside is that the free option can only support one slide show per resource. To install many slide shows, you need to purchase the paid version.

WordPress slideshow plugin Requires normal, simple installation. The software module allows you to create your own convenient and high-quality menu, as well as the ability to edit slides. To do this you need to use the appropriate key. Once the menu is open, you can use it to add images for your own slider.

The next step is to customize each slide. To do this, click on the desired image. After of this action a window will open with necessary settings.

Adding a slider to your blog

Adding a slider to your blog is possible in a variety of ways. You can enter special code into the editor. The slider will appear later on the page. Slides are also entered using template files. The user can also edit the selected file. Pictures must be uploaded in the size specified in the settings.

Advantages of the NextGen Gallery plugin

Another unique and good module is NextGen Gallery. How to make a slide show on wordpress using this software module? After downloading the plugin, you need to review all its capabilities. With this plugin it is easy to achieve a very beautiful gallery. Main advantages of the plugin:

  • easy interface;
  • comfortable slide show display settings;
  • easy insertion of slides into the body of the article using a shortcode;
  • function of embedding a slide show in the side column;
  • possibility of optimization;
  • installing a watermark on images.

Some users find the plugin a little heavy, since several types of galleries are displayed through an additional software module, which may be paid. Another disadvantage is the incompatibility of this plugin with absolutely all templates.

Settings overview NextGen Gallery

The module is quite powerful. To start working with it, you need to go to the module settings. The main ones are:

  • displaying small thumbnails of pictures;
  • the ability to set a size that displays the gallery in an expanded position;
  • the ability to install automatic photo cutting;
  • setting up sorting and display options;
  • adding special effects;
  • the ability to install a watermark;
  • setting up slide show display and shift time.

Creating a slide show

In order to create a WordPress slide show, you need to go to the “Add gallery” column, use the desired tab and create a gallery. The next step is to upload the images. To display the slides, you must go to the article. The slideshow is installed in the editor, after which, using the required key, the slideshow is seamlessly added. To do this, you need to select images and configure the display option. Then the post is saved, after which the slide show will be displayed in it.

That's all. I didn’t go into the technical side of this article here, but if you need this information and are interested in how to do everything correctly step by step, then write about it in the comments. If there are many people interested, I will write one of the following articles about it.

Well, one more pleasant information for me is in the project super piggy bank connected new system accepting payments - AdvCash, with the help of which it has become even easier to replenish and withdraw funds in the project. Also, I created a few more goals and now my weekly contribution is $92. In 2 months I will start receiving regular weekly payments, which will simplify the task. And by the new year I plan to receive $2,500 for the New Year holidays! Therefore, don’t wait for the weather by the sea, start creating your own passive income!

That's all for today! Sincerely, !
