Option 1: Single photo deletion

This option will consider the case when the photos are not distributed into albums or you need to delete any specific picture. For this, the standard functionality of the social network Vkontakte is quite suitable. It is recommended to be careful, because after deleting and reloading the page, it will be impossible to restore the picture without help from the Vkontakte administration.

After logging into your profile on the social network, go to the section "Photo", which is located in the left menu.

Now select the desired album or desired photo. To view images without reference to an album, you just need to scroll down the page a little.

After you click on the label "Delete" in the upper left part of the photo there will be a notification about the successful completion of the procedure. Option 2: Bulk delete

Unfortunately, the administration of the social network Vkontakte did not provide users with a complete tool for deleting a large number of photos at the same time. True, there are several options that allow you to "crank" this procedure. As a rule, erasing in this case occurs by deleting the album along with all unnecessary images:

By analogy with the previous method, log in to the social network and go to the tab "Photo".

From the list of albums, select the one you would like to delete. Hover over it and click on the pencil icon that appears.

In the upper right part of the editor window, click the button "Delete Album".

Confirm the action in the pop-up window.

There will be no button here after deletion "Reestablish". Recovery will be possible only by contacting Vkontakte technical support, so be careful before confirming the action.

Also, the social network VK.com provides in its arsenal a tool for deleting not the entire album, but only those images that the user has marked. This function does not apply to all albums, for example, the album "Saved Photos" does not apply.

The instruction in this case will look like this (applicable to the album "Photos on my wall"):

Go to section "Photo". Find the album in which you would like to “clean up” the photos. Select it with the cursor and click on the pencil icon.

Select the images you want to remove. To do this, simply click on the checkmark icon in the upper corner of the picture.

When you select the desired photos, then click on the button "Delete", which is located in the upper right part of the album editor window.

A window will appear where you need to confirm your actions.

Option 3: Deleting photos from "Saved"

"Saved Photos" is a special album that the user cannot delete, plus their editing rights are slightly limited compared to other albums. Yes, it is possible to make it private, protecting it from all other users of the social network. But what if you need to "clean" your saves?

In this case, you can use the standard way to delete photos:

This option is perfect if you need to delete a few photos and / or there are very few of them in the album. But what to do when there are several hundreds or thousands of elements? In this case, you can use a specialized application that is built into Vkontakte itself.

First you will need to create an album where all the images you intend to delete will be placed:

Now let's go directly to using the application:

In the left user menu, click on the item "Games".

A menu will open here with a list of various games and applications that are integrated into Vkontakte and do not require installation on a computer and / or browser. In the search bar at the top, enter the name of the application "Photo Transfer".

Run the found add-on. If the search returned several results, then run the option that is most similar to the one shown in the screenshot.

After starting the application, pay attention to the column "Where". Here, from the drop-down list below, you need to select an album "Saved Photos".

in a column "Where" by analogy, select the album to which the photos will be moved. In this case, it's the album you just created. You can also create a new album directly in the application interface using the button of the same name, but it is not recommended to do this through this interface, as there is a risk of incorrect display.

Select all the photos you want to put in the delete album. In order not to suffer for a long time with the selection, just click on the button "All" located at the top of the interface.

Click on the button "Move".

Wait for the photos to move and delete the album using the standard social network tools as described above.

Option 4: Removing photos from dialogs

Dialogues in Vkontakte allow you to share photos and other media data. All the photos that you sent in the correspondence are stored on the servers of the social network, and not with any individual user. You can remove a dubious image from the correspondence, but it will disappear only from you, while remaining with the rest of the participants in the dialogue for an indefinite period.

The procedure for deleting photos from a dialogue on Vkontakte looks the same for both correspondence with one person and a dialogue with a group of people:

Expand the tab on the left menu "Messages".

Open the conversation or dialog where the picture you would like to delete is located.
At the very top of the dialog box interface, notice the ellipsis mark in the video. Click on it to open the context menu. From there go to "Show Attachments".

In "Attachments" you can find the desired picture, but it is worth considering that other media data that was sent during this dialogue is also shown there. To see only pictures, select the tab in the top menu of the window. "Photo".
Additionally, please note that you can view all the pictures uploaded by all participants in the conversation / dialogue, and not just your own. From the list of photos, select the one to be deleted.
It will open in the interface of a regular photo viewer from Vkontakte. Here in the bottom panel you need to click on the item "Delete".

If necessary, it can also be restored, but until the moment you reload the page.

To complete the removal procedure, simply refresh the page or go to some other section of the site.

You can also delete photos and other media sent by other users in a conversation, but only you will lose them. For other participants in the conversation, they will also be available indefinitely.

Deleting entries in Vkontakte

The entries that you posted on your wall on Vkontakte may lose their relevance. In this case, records, like photos, can be deleted, but it is worth considering a couple of nuances. For example, after they are deleted, they will no longer be visible to you and other users, however, they will be stored on Vkontakte servers for several months, therefore, at your request or other authorized persons, they can be restored.

Option 1: Manual cleaning

Great if you want to delete posts selectively and / or there are not so many of them on your page. However, if you have a lot more entries on the page, then this method is unlikely to suit you, since it is very time consuming, because it requires deleting each entry “manually”.

The instruction for this option is as follows:

An overview of your page will open, where you can see a few recent photos in a special block, as well as all the posts that you or other users have posted on your wall. To access editing an entry, click on the ellipsis icon.

From the context menu, select an option "Delete Entry".

The entry will be deleted, but you can restore it using the special button. After refreshing the page, this button will disappear.

Information about the content of the entry will still be stored on the Vkontakte servers for some time, but after a couple of months, all data will be deleted there. While the information is stored on the server, you can request a restoration from technical support.

Option 2: Code Review Console

In this case, we are talking about deleting all posts on the wall or most of them using a special JS script. At first glance, this method may seem complicated due to the need to paste code into a special web browser console, but it will be much easier than the previous one.

It is advisable in this case to use a browser with normal console support. Almost all modern web browsers are equipped with it, but not all of them boast user-friendliness. For example, the most convenient browsers in this regard are Google Chrome and Yandex.

The instructions for this option are as follows:

Go to your homepage by clicking on "My page".

You need to scroll through the page, skipping some entries. Scrolling to the end is optional.
Right-click on any empty space on the page. A context menu will open where you need to select an option "View code" or "Explore Element". The caption may vary depending on the browser, but it will always be at the very bottom of the context menu.

A section for viewing and editing the page code will open in the lower or right part. To enter and run the script, you need to go to the tab Console.

In the social network itself, there is no functionality that allows you to get rid of all correspondence at once. However, it is available in special applications and browser add-ons.
