  1. To implement your plans, go to the resource, click on the “Select image” button and upload the desired photo.
  2. The latter will appear on the left side of the screen, and the cursor will take the form of a yellow circle.
  3. Using this circle, use a yellow line to mark the outer contours of the object whose background you want to make transparent.

Let's take one example a simple picture in .jpg format (in general the format is not particularly important):

Uploading our image. On the right in the “Layers” window a “Background” layer will appear, on which there is a lock (prevents the background of the picture from being deleted).

By double-clicking with the left mouse button on this lock, you can remove the lock from the background. A checkmark will appear instead of a padlock.

Now take the magic wand (toolbar, right column, second button from the top), indicate following parameters: tolerance = 21, checkboxes for smoothing and continuity(usually such parameters are standard), although you can experiment with the parameters; and click on the background of the picture (in our case, on the white background).

Now we delete the background by pressing the “Delete” button and get the image we need with a transparent background.

To create a transparent image in PNG format using free online service the site must first prepare an image. It is advisable to use pictures in PNG or GIF format as an image, since the JPEG format can introduce slight distortions into the image at the border of the color transition, which will prevent you from making a high-quality blank for a future watermark.

Then you need to paint over the area that should become invisible with some color, preferably absent from the rest of the image. This is necessary in order to clearly separate the visible and invisible parts of the image. If this is not done, it may turn out that that part of the image for which this is not desirable will become invisible. Below is an example of an image prepared for processing. The area in the image that will be made transparent is highlighted in red.

Then you should select the "Services" item in the main menu of the site and go to the sub-item "Create a transparent image in PNG format". On the page that opens, select the file we prepared earlier and click the “Next step” button.

The image will be uploaded to the server and on the next page we will be given the opportunity to use the mouse to select the color that needs to be made transparent.

By clicking the mouse in the right place in the image, we are taken to the image processing results page. Now you need to click right click mouse on the processed image, select the menu item "Save picture as..." and save the resulting image to your computer.

Most often, a transparent background is required to overlay one part of the image on another or on the illustration itself. Colorless backgrounds are actively used when designing websites.
